The University of Alabama has a membership subscription to Academic Impressions providing
faculty access to resources. You can access Academic Impressions through your mybama portal.
Academic Impressions, is focused solely on providing leadership, personal development and
skills-based training opportunities to faculty and staff in higher ed. They help individuals, teams
and institutions across build upon their knowledge and expertise to reach new levels and find
practical solutions to the challenges.


The University of Alabama has a membership subscription to the National Center for Faculty
and Diversity (NCFDD) providing faculty access to resources. NCFDD provides on-demand
access to the mentoring, tools, and support needed to be successful in the University setting
NCFDD focuses on four key areas that help achieve scholarly writing and research productivity
while maintaining a healthy life on and off campus.

To access NCFDD complete the following steps:

  1. Use the following link: https://www.facultydiversity.org/join
  2. Select “The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa” from the drop-down menu
  3. Select “Activate my Membership”
  4. Complete the registration form using your campus email address
  5. Proceed to your campus email to find a confirmation email and click “Activate Account” in the email.

The University of Alabama has a membership subscription to Linkedin Learning providing
faculty access to resources. You can access Linkedin Learning through your mybama portal/UA
LMS link. UA LMS provides access to LinkedIn Learning, an online content provider with
thousands of courses in software, creative, and business skills, including Lynda.com content.
