Academic Impressions
The University of Alabama has a membership subscription to Academic Impressions providing
faculty access to resources. You can access Academic Impressions through your mybama portal.
Academic Impressions, is focused solely on providing leadership, personal development and
skills-based training opportunities to faculty and staff in higher ed. They help individuals, teams
and institutions across build upon their knowledge and expertise to reach new levels and find
practical solutions to the challenges.


NCFDD
The University of Alabama has a membership subscription to NCFDD, the leading provider of professional development in higher education. Their mission is to develop, connect and empower the next wave of academic leaders, and free membership is available to all UA faculty and graduate students. NCFDD provides on-demand access to the mentoring, tools and support needed to be successful in the University setting. NCFDD focuses on four key areas that help achieve scholarly writing and research productivity while maintaining a healthy life on and off campus.

To access NCFDD complete the following steps:

  1. Use the following link: https://www.ncfdd.org/join
  2. Select “The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa” from the drop-down menu
  3. Select “Activate my Membership”
  4. Complete the registration form using your campus email address
  5. Proceed to your campus email to find a confirmation email and click “Activate Account” in the email.

HR Learning & Development
Access professional development courses, compliance training, new management training, Microsoft training and more through UA’s HR Learning and Development. In addition to personal and professional development resources UA faculty and staff have access to list of other training resources.


Linkedin Learning
The University of Alabama has a membership subscription to Linkedin Learning providing faculty access to resources. You can access Linkedin Learning through your mybama portal/UA LMS link. UA LMS provides access to LinkedIn Learning, an online content provider withthousands of courses in software, creative, and business skills, including Lynda.com content.
